Kuiburi Hotel & Resort ★★★

Great location to visit the Elephant Observatory Clean, good value for money, friendly staff Nice food in the restaurant and near by places

The beds are quite firm, you could even say hard Not a negative, but be aware that since this area is not very touristy for feorigners the staff at various places may not speak english very well.

We only stayed for a night driving south to Surat Thani and there were just 3 other rooms booked when we were there. Kui Buri National Park is only a few kilometers away. Place is directly located on the beach, wonderful fine sand, pool right next with showers, very friendly staff, restaurant & bar next to beach, might need a bit make over some time, was probably 5 star before.

The hotel has a great location with a pool at the beach. The standard room we had was clean and spacy. The nreakfast was very good.

The building with the standard rooms is very close to the road and therefore quite noisy. The more expensive bungalows don't have this.

Wireless internet. Checking in every 45 minutes doesn't make sense. Breakfast just okay.

It wasn't very clean compared to the previous time we went. In the area with the deluxe rooms, there was a lot of hair, dust and dirt on the floors.

Nice bungalow with amazing sea view , huge pool area . Very friendly staff , good à la carte breakfast on beautiful terrace near the beach ! Very relaxing.

The pool is nice, and that is all.

Room is not so clean, front desk staff are not so welcoming and kinda mean too, location is far from everything, breakfast and food is not good there.

The room, we had Ocean Villa room, exceptional.

The remotness, couldn't hire a car or scooter. Had to pay 800 baht for Hotel mini bus to collect us from.the train station.

The staff were very nice and friendly.

The room was not very nice. The shower head was broken, the pillows were very uncomfortable and there was a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom. The air conditioner was also noisy.

The staffs are very nice. The hotel is on good location that you can walk to the sea. It's ok for sightseeing.

The hotel is quite old. The air condition is work poor. The beach is not beautiful.

This resort must have been really nice when it was new. The overall Resort lay-out and the bungalow we occupied were well designed. The pool is great and the beach location is wonderful.

There is an overall lack of management and nobody seems to care about the upkeep of the resort. Aside from the fact that the advertised beach view from our bungalow was obstructed by trees, (only 2 of the 8 sea-view Bungalows have an unobstructed view) the interior of our bungalow was dusty beyond belief. The sun-beds and umbrellas by the beach-side were in total disrepair. There was no breakfast buffet and breakfast was served a la carte which should have meant that the food produced should have been fresh. The Full English breakfast consisted of jellied scrambled eggs, soggy beacon and the cheapest ham and wiener sausages which were served cold. The coffee must have stewed for hours already and was undrinkable. The breakfast was so bad that we left it and didn't take breakfast the second day even though it was included in the rate. But the worst of all was that the reception staff without telling me had removed my departure card from my passport and only gave it back to me at the time of departure. In all the years I have lived in Thailand this is the first time a hotel has done this. With the overall inefficiency of the staff I would have been in deep trouble with immigration if the card had been mislaid or they had forgotten to return it to me. This resort could be really nice if the owners took an interest in it.

The pool was lovely, the grounds were serene and peaceful. Really pretty and natural. We were greeted by the manager, which was a nice touch. The staff in restaurant were very nice. Great location for the National Park, well worth a trip to, its incredible beauty! Had an ok time, given I was with my mum, we just wanted to relax and read books.

There was literally no one else there, not the worst thing but it meant there was no atmosphere! The room was old and grotty, the balcony had not chairs to sit out on. They didn’t clean the room or give fresh towels daily which is gross! The blinds in our room were broken. The receptionist on the first two days was very rude, she even hung up the phone on me when I asked for clean towels. The one after her was nice and got me a taxi sorted and was very helpful. The food wasn’t very good in the restaurant. Don’t know if because it was quiet the food just wasn’t fresh. Breakfast was passable though! There is another resort 200m up the beach or the road which had amazing food!!! Would recommend there! This place is very isolated, not that this is a bad thing if you want peace. If you want to go to the 7/11 and don’t have your own transport they will charge you 200baht each way per person! It’s only 6.5km, so this seems a little unreasonable. The beach wasn’t clean at all, lots of dead fish and plastic, which is understandable as there had been a storm. But they didn’t clean it at all!

Breakfast was very nice, good quality of material , fresh, delicious. Scenery is perfect for relax , peaceful, nice private beach, fresh air. Very natural beach without any disturbing from other, people or selling stuff like other famous beach. Service is very good too, officer who can talk and understand in English to serve you and ask you for all the service and other things to do for your happiness. I thought this was very impress. Room is very good, clean, safe, water , air condition, you can see the sea from your room and has terrace for you to relax and get fresh air in both side , front, back. Only a bit far from the facility at night time, market but you can ask for the van and service for you to pick you from airport or what ever in need. Khanittha Stayed on16,17 December 2018

Helpfully organised an afternoon shared trip to the national park to see elephants and other wild life.

Where shall I start...... Misleading information about type of room on Web site..... Led to believe we were getting a ground floor room ..... There were no lifts for dealing with luggage etc. The room was smelly and dirty and there were dead (and live) flies and mosquitos everywhere.... clearly an issue at that location. There was a large contingent of people on some kind of corporate / conference stay at the hotel who held a VERY loud karaoke party in the restaurant ..... The only location that other guests could dine with no off site alternatives anywhere close by. We could barely order our food let alone hold a conversation over the noise. The staff moved us to a table the other side of the swimming pool which was slightly quieter but then neglected us having served our food. It would have been courteous of the hotel to inform us about this obviously planned event because we would most definitely chosen a different place to stay. Breakfast was very poor. Food clearly prepared at beginning of service left uncovered for the full length of time breakfast ran. By the time we went for breakfast at 9:30 food was cold, stale and had flies all around.... Not good!

Very nice hotel with gorgeous swimming pool, on the beach and quiet area. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Bedroom well equiped.

There can be groups and parties over the week end. Looking for quiet atmosphere, book during the week.

Amazing gem of a hotel, was very very quiet and always seemed like nobody but us was there which is such a shame as such a lovely hotel! Lovely pool and hotel right on lovely Sandy beach beach. Good restaurant, super friendly staff, nice rooms, clean.... so relaxing!
